Rera affiliated with six global realty bodies

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) announced yesterday that its Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rera) has been affiliated with six global real estate associations and organisations in the framework to legislate global property laws that protect rights and develop the real estate sector.

"Dubai's membership in such international real estate entities that are respected worldwide is considered a qualitative move towards global standards, since DLD is the region's pioneering real estate reference," said Marwan bin Ghalita, Rera's CEO.

In a press conference yesterday, Mahmoud Al Burei, Director of Rera's Real Estate Sector Development Department, said Rera is the Middle East's only member in the Association of Real Estate Licence Law Officials (Arello), which comprises real estate regulators at the world level.
