Rolls-Royce wins order from Oman Air

Rolls-Royce, the British maker of plane engines, said on Tuesday that it has won an engine order from Oman Air worth $460 million (Dh1.69bn) at list prices.

"Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, has selected Trent 700 engines to power its new fleet of five purchased and two new leased Airbus A330 aircraft," Rolls-Royce said in a statement.

A long-term service agreement was included and deliveries were slated to begin next year, it added. (AFP)
