Irena taps global resources

The UAE will utilise the most advanced global resources for renewable energy in the headquarters of the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena), to be built in Abu Dhabi, said a government official.

Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, who is on a visit to the United Kingdom, said: "There are prospects of co-operation between companies and universities in the UAE and Britain in the field of renewable energy."

She was speaking at a meeting with British Minister for Trade, Investment and Business, Lord Davis of Abersoch.
