Mohammed launches PM's official website

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched an official website that will be the source of all information related to the office of the UAE Prime Minister.

The website – www.uaepm.ae – has been designed as a direct channel of communication between Sheikh Mohammad and the public. It has a section on the life of Sheikh Mohammed, his roles, responsibilities and important achievements in his capacity as UAE Prime Minister.

It will also cover Sheikh Mohammad's activities on a weekly basis and carry daily news of developments in the federal government. Also available will be the statements and speeches of Sheikh Mohammad made on various occasions.

On a historical note, the website will furnish brief biographies of all the former prime ministers of the UAE. There is also a section on the general strategy and plans of the UAE federal government.

For the country's media, the website includes a tool for direct communication by journalists with the UAE prime minister. Sheikh Mohammed will hold e-media meetings periodically to answer questions from journalists about the activities of the federal government. Journalists can post their questions on the website to which Sheikh Mohammad will reply on a special page.

A similar mechanism will enable people in the UAE to directly communicate with Sheikh Mohammad by submitting remarks and suggestions on any issue related to the federal government through an e-form.

The website has been developed by the Government Communications Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs. An English version of the website is under construction.
