Indian expatriates in Dubai now have one more option in the mid-priced segment after the city branch of an award-winning Singapore school was announced yesterday.

Global Indian International School will open its doors in the academic session starting April 2010, Maneesh Tripathi, CEO of the Global Indian Foundation, which runs the school, told Emirates Business.

It has been established in association with Dubai education group Score Plus Education and will initially provide classes from kindergarten to grade six, with two new grades added each year. It will offer a choice of montessori (KG1 and KG2), Indian School Certificate, ICSE and International Baccalaureate systems.

Kamal Kalwani, CEO of Score Plus Education, Dubai, said: "The campus in Karama would offer all-day boarding facilities. Its proximity to a Metro station and its mid-market fee structure would appeal to parents searching for alternatives to existing schools in the city. Details will be available at the first open house session on December 19.
