Key talks held on impact of credit crisis

A co-ordination meeting has been held between Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade, and chambers of commerce and industry in the country and Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Sheikha Lubna said the meeting aims to look into the suggestions of private sector concerning the impacts of the international financial crisis on the country's local and foreign trade and possible measures that can be taken to avoid any negative effects on the country.

Abdulla Saleh, Director-General of Ministry of Foreign Trade, said the ministry aims to adopt a development policy of foreign trade and follows up its implementation to protect the country's commercial interests at bilateral, regional and multi-party levels.
