Municipality to give Dh68m compensation

Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Municipality Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has announced Dh67.97 million as compensation amount to citizens, whose properties are affected by public planning projects, for 17 plots and facilities, according to a statement issued by Dubai Municipality.

The announcement comes as part of Dubai government's plan to compensate the citizens' properties that were affected by public planning projects, designed for development and re-planning of the city of Dubai.

Hussein Nasser Lootah, Director General of the Municipality said: "The government is taking necessary actions to speed up the disbursement of compensation to these owners of lands, located in various areas of Dubai. This move comes from the government's concern to develop different areas."
