Suicide attacker kills three soldiers in Pakistan’s Kashmir

Police say a suicide bomber has killed three soldiers in the Pakistan part of Kashmir.

Javed Iqbal, the police chief in the Himalayan region of Kashmir, said the attack happened Wednesday morning at an army barrack near the town of Rawalakot.

He said 11 soldiers were also wounded in the attack.

Kashmir is disputed between Pakistan and India, who both claim the territory in its entirety. The two neighbors have fought two of their three wars over Kashmir after gaining independence from British in 1947.
