GM unit Vauxhall to cut 354 jobs at British plant

Vauxhall, the British division of troubled US carmaker General Motors, announced on Monday that it intended to cut 354 jobs at one of its two British factories.

The company said in a statement that it proposed to "reduce Luton's headcount by 354 employees" to streamline its workforce in line with lower production at the plant north of London.
