If you like the great outdoors but wish you could rough it out in climes cooler than we have in the UAE, then you could buy yourself a property in Colorado, USA.

There you can have fun in the winters, skiing all you want, while in the summers you can play golf and fly-fish to your heart’s content.

And if you are up for it, then there is just such a property – a four-bedroom condo – waiting for you in Vail Village in Colorado.

Donna Caynoski, a broker at Sonnenalp Real Estate – an affiliate of Christie’s Great Estates, the real estate arm of the auction house Christie’s – told Emirates Business: “If you love the outdoors then this is the place for you because world class skiing on over 5600 acres of terrain is just outside your door. Other activities in Vail include a variety of winter sports and golf, rafting, mountain biking and hiking in the summers.

“There is also fly fishing and if you are culturally inclined then you will not miss out as a variety of cultural activities are offered, from dance festivals to music by the New York philharmonic.”

This condo is part of a five-star hotel and residence complex, which opened in late December. It offers the highest levels of luxury and convenience and combines the elegance of Europe’s grand resorts with Vail’s alpine heritage and world-class style.

The condo is one of the first to be put on sale by Sonnenalp Real Estate. Priced at $7,625,000 (Dh28m) the first Arrabelle at Vail Square residence is the most desirable address in Vail village as it overlooks the ice rink and plaza. The location of this unit offers wonderful proximity to the amenities of the resort.

“This four bedroom, four-and-a-half bath residence has over 3,800 square feet of elegant living space and magnificent European-style finishes,” Caynoski said.

“Seven outdoor patios overlook the activity of the village. Residents can enjoy an intimate dinner in the private owner’s lounge, which features ski slope views and food from Centre V, the hotel’s in-house French brasserie.

You can go for a quick walk and pick up fine grape juice for dinner, or just grab a cup of coffee from the new Starbucks,” she added.

Located in the heart of the newly developed Vail Square, The Arrabelle sets the standard in luxury alpine resorts. The hotel reflects the romantic heritage and ambiance of the European Alps, architecturally inspired by cities such as Innsbruck, Prague and Salzburg. It features 36 guest rooms averaging 550 square feet each, a RockResort Spa and fitness centre, and a variety of first-class amenities, ranging from rooftop pools and fine-dining restaurants to ski and boot valets.

The hotel’s staff is available to make sure that every guest’s stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. From ordering morning coffee and arranging daily activities to securing last-minute dining reservations, a personal concierge is available 24 hours a day.

“I asked one of the concierges what he offers guests and owners. He said, ‘I ask them to describe their perfect vacation to me with every detail. Once they offer this, I am off to make sure all of those details are fulfiled,’” Caynoski said.
