Mohammed visits old city of Beijing




The UAE Prime Minister on Monday took a tour of the old city of Beijing, visiting shops along ancient streets, including Wangfujing, one of the Chinese capital’s oldest and famous shopping streets.


His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, walked the kilometre-long street that is off-limits to vehicles and was greeted by the shopkeepers, street vendors and shoppers.


Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied during his tour by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director of the Dubai Ruler’s Court; Sultan bin Sulayem, CEO of Dubai Ports and Customs Corporation; Lt-General Musabah Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Dubai Ruler’s Office; Mohammed Ali Alabbar, Director-General of Dubai’s Department of Economic Development, and the members of the official delegation.
