The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has issued a law establishing the Abu Dhabi Centre for Information and Electronic Systems.
The centre will be tasked with the responsibility of developing government strategies in addition to overseeing the Abu Dhabi e-Government programme. The new centre will also develop plans and strategies to protect information systems in government institutions.
Raising awareness on the need to adopt the best IT practices shall be one of the tasks of the newly established body.
The new centre shall develop the government agenda for communications and information technology.
