Adach unveils five-year strategic plan

The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (Adach) has released its five-year strategy.

The launch was attended by Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and Chairman of Adach Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan and Director General of Adach Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazroui.

The Adach strategy for 2008-2012 specifies 10 priority areas which include conservation and development of the threatened tangible cultural heritage of Abu Dhabi, documentation promotion and enhancement of the intangible cultural heritage of the emirate, and rehabilitation of existing institutions for culture and heritage as well as creating new ones.

The areas of preference also aim to amend and improve existing laws and policy pertaining to the protection, management and promotion of culture and heritage.
