Demonstrating its strong commitment to emiratisation and support for initiatives undertaken by the Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council, Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (Adnec) said it has successfully recruited three UAE nationals at last week's Tawdheef recruitment fair.
In addition, more than 100 UAE nationals have been shortlisted by Adnec for upcoming interviews.
The newly appointed Adnec employees will assume key positions in the marketing, visitor relations and venue operations departments at Adnec, on completing recruitment formalities and comprehensive induction training in the coming weeks.
Ali bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Managing Director of Adnec, said: "Under the directives of Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of Adnec, a continued focus on promoting Emiratisation is at the heart of our business operations nationally and globally.
Adnec has already achieved 30 per cent nationalisation among positions identified as being suitable for nationals within the company.
One killed in rains
Heavy rains on Ras Al Khaimah has caused the death of one emirati man and injured several others in Wadi Ghalila valley.
Inhabitants of the area managed to recover the man's car which was carrying three others when it was swept away by the flooding water stream.
Several other cars were carried by flood water flowing over the Wadi Ghalila dam because of rainfalls up to 29 mm, the heaviest in years.
