There is a need for increased efforts to meet Ajman's rising demand for water and electricity, His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman has said.
He has directed members of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, who yesterday visited him at his office at the Ruler's Court, to press for action from relevant ministries.
He told the members there was an urgent need to provide water and electricity and other services necessary to help push forward economic and industrial developments.
Sheikh Humaid also called on all authorities concerned to work together to help overcome obstacles that investors may face and that may hinder attracting investments into the country.
Engineer Salah Salem bin Omair Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told reporters after the 79th meeting of the members held at Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday that the Federation would submit the directions of the Ruler of Ajman to the relevant authorities to help speed up the projects taking place in the country.
He said this was the first time the Federation has met outside its base in Abu Dhabi. The next meeting will be held in Umm Al Quwain in October and then Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah will host the meeting, respectively.
"We appreciate the suggestion that was made by Ajman Chamber in the previous meeting," he said.
