Drainage and storm-water network for Al Warqa 3

Dubai Municipality has begun a Dh185 million project to create a drainage and storm-water network for Al Warqa 3, a newly developed residential area between Al Awir Road and Mirdif.

The project, expected to be completed by the end of next year, is part of the civic body's plans to link new residential areas with the city's main drainage network, Hussain Nasser Lootah, acting director general of the municipality said.

"This project will provide drainage connections to some 2,185 houses in the Al Warqa 3 area," said Lootah.

The Drainage and Irrigation Department at the municipality has urged

residents of the area to present any suggestions or remarks about the project to the municipality's homepage at www.dm.gov.ae (Have Your Say) or by calling 800 900.
