E-University gets ELIG membership

Hamdan bin Mohammed e-University has joined the European Learning Industry Group (ELIG). ELIG is an open industry group that seeks to promote innovation in learning, knowledge creation and dissemination.

Dr Mansoor Al Awar, Vice-Chancellor of Hamdan bin Mohammed e-University said: "Our membership of ELIG is a gold medal of honour. It emphasises the widespread credibility Hamdan bin Mohammed e-University enjoys in the area of total quality management, and is a proof of the experience we have in e-learning."

"This membership will also serve as a reminder for us to keep up the work and remain at the forefront of e-learning institutions in the region. It will make us work harder towards achieving the goals we have for Hamdan bin Mohammed e-University."

Richard Straub Secretary-General of ELIG, said: "I am thrilled that Hamdan bin Mohammed e-University is now a member of ELIG, this will enrich the base of our associates who enjoy a good reputation and are amongst the best in the world in the field of e-learning."

"At ELIG we shed light on the developments and trends of modern and innovative solutions in the field of education. We act like a communication channel to the marketplace, highlighting innovative developments and directions and giving orientation to market participants and stakeholders."

ELIG provides its members the opportunity to attend forums and events to get in contact with the latest trends in the learning industry around the world. Also it was one of the supporters of the second e-learning forum organised by Hamdan bin Mohammed e-University, previously e-TQM College.
