Hospital offers valet parking

In an attempt to augment its parking facilities, the city's Rashid Hospital has increased parking slots and introduced valet parking facilities.

The hospital now offers over one thousand parking slots, an increase of 60 per cent. The decision follows increased pressures in recent years.

It is now able to meet current and future needs, said Yousuf Mohammed Ibrahim, director of finance and administration at Rashid Hospital. "We are the only hospital in the UAE to provide [valet] parking. We implemented this service after a pilot study to analyse the viability of the service and gauge customer reaction and were pleased with the response."

He added that phone booths have been installed at key locations in the hospital so that customers can call for taxis more easily.
