Khalifa heads UAE delegation to Saudi

The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, travelled to Saudi Arabia at the head of the UAE delegation to the GCC leaders' 10th consultative meeting.

Custodian of Two Shrines King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and other high-ranking Saudi officials received the President and the delegation at the King Abdul Aziz Air Base in Dhahran.

The President said that the 10th consultative meeting "is in line with care given by the GCC leaders to consultations to revamp the GCC".

The President, who returned yesterday, stressed the need for joint GCC work to safeguard the aspirations of people living in the member states. He was accompanied by Minister of Interior Lt Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Presidential Affairs Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Economy Minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri; Deputy Presidential Affairs Minister Ahmed Jumaa Al Zaabi and the UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Al Asri Saeed Al Dhahiri.
