Dubai Executive Council (DEC) held an ordinary session chaired by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and DEC's Vice-Chairman, at Emirates Towers and reviewed a number of issues.
The DEC looked into a report that focussed on the important achievements made by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) between 2005 and the end of 2008 in the field of traffic, roads, public transport system, licencing systems along with other important aspects that would need attention in the next period and a number of planned and under construction projects.
The DEC members held talks on factors the RTA should focus on to consolidate Dubai's indexes against the indexes of advanced cities in the field of roads and public transport.
They also looked into the strategic plan of Dubai Statistics Centre.
