Dubai Criminal Court has heard the case of an Arab woman TM, an Emirati police officer MK, 32, and another Arab policeman MM, 23, accused of bribery and facilitating the entry of TM into the UAE.

TM had been previously deported. According to public prosecution, MK, who is in charge of the eye scans at the Dubai International Airport, is accused of accepting a Dh55,000 bribe in return for facilitating the entry of TM, who is MM's wife.

MK is also accused of using official stamps which allowed TM to enter the country from Syria. The public prosecution accused TM and her husband MM of offering a bribe to MK to entice him to violate his job duties and facilitate TM's entry into the country.

MK and MM, who have both denied the charges, attended yesterday's session. The case has been adjourned to March 14.
