RTA signs pact with Dubai Civil Defence

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) signed an agreement governing licensing activities of vehicles transporting dangerous materials with Dubai Civil Defence Department at the premises of Licensing Agency.

The agreement seeks to step up the existing co-operation and co-ordination between the two bodies with the aim of bolstering their strategic partnership, and enhancing the security and safety of dangerous materials transport modes licensed by both parties.

"The overall objective is to foster the strategic partnership to enhance the security and safety of dangerous goods transport vehicles licensed by both parties, which will contribute to realising the vision of the RTA," said CEO of Licensing Agency Ahmed Bahrouzian.
