Sheikha Lubna and EU envoy discuss ties

Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade, and Luigi Narbone, European Union envoy, discussed means of enhancing commercial, economic and investment co-operation between the UAE and European Union.

The leaders discussed means of consolidation of joint ties between the UAE and EU outside the scope of the free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations between the GCC states and the EU. They also discussed the latest developments of GCC-EU trade negotiations and means of solving difficulties that obstruct the signing of the agreement and the recent developments of GCC-EU free trade negotiations.

Sheikha Lubna confirmed the UAE's keenness to develop relations with the EU countries and expand joint co-operation in all fields, especially commercial, economic and investment.
