Show to mark Environment Day held

Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) and Dubai Municipality yesterday organised an exhibition to mark the World Environment Day, receiving valuable inputs on green issues including global warming, green buildings, water conservation techniques, planting of trees, and the recycling of electronic equipment.

On the sidelines of the exhibition at DSOA headquarters, educational workshops and seminars were also held.

Led by green industry experts, the events highlighted the need to protect the environment and the role of each individual in collectively contributing towards the cause.

Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, said: "We mark the World Environment Day with a series of events that reaffirm our commitment to key environmental issues."
