UAE and Qatar to co-operate in field of higher learning

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, held talks in Doha on Tuesday night with Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.

The two leaders focused on bilateral co-operation between science and technology and co-operation between institutions of higher learning in the two countries.

Sheikh Mohammed congratulated Sheikh Hamad on the graduation of the first batch of students from the Qatar Educational City, where several international universities are based.

"Any achievement by an Arab country in any given field of education is an achievement for all of us," said Sheikh Mohammed.

Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Interior, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Group attended the meeting, while from the Qatari side Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, attended.
