A recent consumer poll conducted in the UAE showed that three quarters of respondents said they would be worried if their e-mail communications were being stored in an independent location outside the UAE.
The survey results also stated that 58 per cent of the respondents would be worried if mobile applications they used were beyond the reach of the UAE court system, with Emirati males representing the largest group of concerned respondents.

Further results from the consumer poll conducted in the UAE included that nine of the 10 respondents agree that UAE national security is the responsibility of all citizens and residents, not only the government.
The question formed part of a national survey that queried Blackberry subscribers in the UAE.
