D'oh! David Beckham is not famous enough for Homer and co

He might be one of the UK's biggest names, but David Beckham is just not famous enough for a cameo role on The Simpsons, it seems.

Executive producer Al Jean recently revealed: "I had to phone David Beckham to tell him sorry.

"I didn't think he was a big enough star for an American audience."
