Festival of golf set for September

Dubai will further enhance its position as golf's most prominent destination when it hosts the inaugural International Golf Festival in September.

The event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre over three days from September 27, will bring together golf tour operators, hoteliers, property developers, tournament organisers and promoters to discuss and evaluate the industry.

George Betz, International Sales Director at Worldwide Conferences and events, said: "We see the International Golf Festival filling a gap in the market and unlike other golf shows, which have been held here in the past, it will be widely open to the public.

"Golf lovers will have the opportunity to see the latest in golf course design, meet with golf equipment manufacturers and retailers and also learn more about the spectacular golf travel destinations, which are available not only on our own doorstep, but right around the world."
