Golf in Dubai transfers ownership

Golf in Dubai has transferred ownership of the company to the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) in a move which will see the promoters and organisers of the world-class golfing events play a much wider role in developing the emirate as a centre of business and leisure excellence.

"We are proud to announce that Golf in Dubai will now function under the ICD umbrella and we look forward to seeking their advice and guidance in achieving goals which are mutually beneficial," said Mohamed Juma Buamaim, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Golf in Dubai, the promoters and organisers of the premier Omega Dubai Desert Classic and the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters events.

"The transfer of Golf in Dubai's assets to ICD's portfolios of holdings will, in no way, affect our management structure nor any employee or our agreements with third parties," he added.
