On Wednesday at the athletic meet in Lucerne, Switzerland the 21-year-old gets his final chance to run the qualifying time for the Beijing Olympics.

The Australian cyclist was the pre-Tour de France favourite and although he has done reasonably well so far, he has not totally dominated. However, as the race enters its second week expect him to step up his game.



FRANK LAMPARD

Just hours after new Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari claimed the Chelsea midfielder would remain at the club, the player's agent announced he is not happy and may join Blues former boss Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan.

Will the Lampard transfer saga end before those of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Barry and Alexander Helb this week? Only time will tell.
