Tell us more about the concept of King. King is everything a club should be. It's a big dark hole with great music, great value beverages and weird and wonderful entertainment all in a superb location.

Why Dubai? We've been studying the Dubai market for a few years now and there's a gap for a product like King. Dubai has a great crowd and is quickly becoming the hospitality hub of the world, which makes it a perfect location.

What experience have you brought with you? I was born into the hospitality industry as my family has owned hotels and clubs. I've travelled the world modelling so have a lot of experience both as a customer and an employee in Tokyo, New York and Europe. I bought my first club at 19.

How do you plan on being competitive with other clubs? Our customers will leave with change in their pockets by us not being greedy. Our average price is Dh25 per beverage. We know that we will have the most competitive prices in town.

Will you have a door policy? We're not going to have any set rules such as couples only or a particular dress code. Our policy will adjust accordingly, depending on the night. We appreciate that with certain musical cultures comes certain dress expectations. We won't have any silly rules.

What music can we expect? All types. We will have something for everyone, from Persian house to American hip-hop and R&B and from European house to cheese, our music will cater to all tastes. We will have the hottest tunes mixed by some of the world's best entertainers with international DJs and local talent alike.

Spectrum on one, the Fairmont Dubai This is definitely my favourite restaurant in Dubai. It has unbelievably good, fresh food and plenty of variety. I like to think of King as the Spectrum On One of clubs!
