In the lower lobby area, a selection of paintings by British designer Elizabeth Orchard is on the show until the end of the month.

It is part of the hotel's latest initiative to offer local and visiting artists to showcase and even sell their work.

Hussein Madi

Artspace Gallery, DIFC, Dubai

A display of innovative contemporary paintings by Lebanese artist Hussein Madi is on show until February 11.

Madi's art has been viewed by thousands of people around the world at venues such as the British Museum, Venice Biennale and Tokyo's Ueno Museum.

Sacred Sites of India

The Empty Quarter Fine Art Photography Gallery, Dubai

This exhibition, which runs until February 5, features a wonderful collection of rare vintage and contemporary photographic prints of India.

It focuses on a varied group of images from the late 19th century with an overview of Calcutta by Bourne & Shepherd, as well as other beautiful images from Falkland Road, Henri Cartier Bresson, Mary Ellen Mark and Mark Riboud.

The Human Race

The Mojo Gallery, Dubai

Indian-born Australian photographer Binu Bhaskar explores humanity in city streets around the world.

Lita Cabellut and Jean-Pierre Roc Roussey

Opera Gallery, DIFC, Dubai

Various work by Barcelona's Lita Cabellut and Paris' Jean-Pierre Roc Roussey will be on show in this joint exhibition, which opens this Thursday from 7.30pm.
