We bring you a special Live edition for those who want to show their solidarity for Gaza by raising money or maintaining a minute's silence in memory of the dead.

What is it? A fun party on the beach, where you dress in black or white, do your bit for charity through a silent auction, and party with Palestinian DJ Flash B.

Who's behind it? The Nutella Boys – Ali Hashemi, Alex MirZabeigi and Mo Faddullah. A Nutella Jar will dominate the party, so that guests can fill it with as much money as possible.

Why Nutella? As MirgZabeigi says: "Because we love it." Attendees need to bring a jar of Nutella as their entrance fee, which will also head down to Gaza.

Who exactly benefits? Proceeds will go to the Palestine Childrens Relief Fund.

Can we expect a fun crowd? Think Dubai's A-listers.

Do we get food? Glad you asked. Canapes and chocolate fountains are on the menu. Yum!

How do I nab an invite? It's being held at Layali, Mina A'Salam, but here's where it gets tricky. This invite-only party is so exclusive (a chain e-mail that wasn't junk for once), you need serious wasta to get in or find yourself a disguise as a hotel staffer. Details on Facebook.

What is it? Dubai-based singer, songwriter and humanitarian, Glenn Perry, is organising a free concert today at 6pm for peace in Gaza, called Silence.

Tell us more. The special concert is in aid of children in Gaza. There will also be a children's poetry recital and kids taking to the stage to sing their hearts out.

We also recommend the performance by Dubai Children's Choir.

Why is it called Silence? Good question. At 7pm the organisers will observe a minute's silence to send their positive thoughts and prayers for the victims in Gaza.

How do I get there? The event is being held at the Mazaya Centre, from 6pm and it's free.
