Encyclopaedia of Arab poetry launched

The National Library of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (Adach) launched the largest electronic encyclopaedia for Arab poetry.

The new website includes 2693 poetry books consisting of 28,90,301 verses that form 138,641 poems. The encyclopaedia includes 1,081 reference books of Arab's heritage in science, literature and history, in addition to 10 dictionaries. The massive volume of poetry information and verses available makes it the biggest Arab culture website.

The launch of this huge encyclopaedia comes after 12 years since the first version was created (1997) by specialists and experts.
