'UAE among safest countries in world'

The UAE is considered one of the world's safest countries, according to Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister.

In a statement yesterday to mark the opening of the International Security and National Resilience (ISNR) 2010 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Sheikh Saif said the event is being held at a time when the UAE gained the capabilities and experience in events organising according to international standards.

"The UAE is blessed by being one of the world's safest places. This requires us as individuals, communities and organisations to do our best to maintain that stability," he added.
