'Airlift': Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur cook-up storm in Ras Al Khaimah

Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur have cooked up a storm on the streets of Ras Al Khaimah.

Local residents have spotted the actors shooting the second schedule of their movie 'Airlift' in the busy Kuwaiti Raod. 

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, 'Airlift' is said to be based on the Indians who were stuck in Kuwait during the Gulf War.

The crew have camped in Al Hamra Palace Beach Resort.

Nimrat Kaur, who turned 33 on Friday, brought in her birthday on the sets of her movie in the company of co-star Akshay Kumar and the rest of the crew of the film.

She even took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to talk about the working birthday saying, "Bringing it in with a gorgeous Middle East sunrise, a first working birthday for me!Tonnes of love and warmth to everyone sending in wishes."

'Airlift' reportedly sees Akshay play the lead role of Ranjit Katyal, a wealthy Indian businessman based in Kuwait.
When he and his family are caught in the midst of Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, Ranjit unwittingly becomes the man who all 170,000 Indians look up to for finding them a safe passage across the border into Jordan.
According to trade reports, the film is slated for a January 22, 2016 release.
