Aishwarya and Aaradhya come for Dubai World Cup

The speculation can be finally put to rest as well placed sources have confirmed to Emirates 24|7 that Bollywood actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, will be attending a special Longines event on March 31 as part of the Dubai World Cup horse races at Meydan.

However, Longines, the renowned watch brand of which Bachchan has been a long-time brand ambassador was more guarded about the confirmation, saying: “We can confirm that Aishwarya has been invited to the Longines event, but we have yet to get confirmation from her end whether she will be attending.

Longines has been appointed as the official timekeeper for the Dubai World Cup, the world’s richest horse race with a pot of prize money that adds up to $27.25 million.

Earlier, Emirates 24|7 broke the news that Bachchan would be visiting Dubai with four-month-old daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. Soources close to the family said they have applied for the passport through Tatkal services. (Emerge

News from the passport office in Mumbai have stated that Aaradhya’s official travel documents have been processed for travel.

If confirmed, this will be the young baby’s first overseas trip.

The actress was seen on March 27 with her husband, attending Mukesh Ambani’s party for cricketer Sachin Tendulkar for hitting 100 centuries.

Ash made her first official appearance after giving birth as she attended the L’Oreal Paris Femina Women Awards 2012 in Mumbai where she was given the gong for “The Iconic Woman of Worth”.

Bachchan was accompanied by her mother Vrinda Rai who was honoured with a special “She's Worth it Award”, by her daughter.

Her other public appearances have included attending the private wedding reception of fellow Bollywood actors, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’souza after Aaradhya’s birth.
