Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's fans sorely miss watching the beauty on screen and by the look of it she will be away from the buzz in 2014.
But 2015 will be a special year for a few former beauty queens-turned actresses.
It is reported that ex-Miss Universe Sushmita Sen and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is set to share screen space.
Now, that would be interesting to watch given that they were competitors in the Miss India beauty pageant 20 years ago and have maintained their distance since.
Also, making the news special is the project would be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback vehicle.
It is being rumoured that Ash and Sushmita will be back together with ‘Happy Anniversary’, which is being directed by ad guru Prahlad Kakkar - his debut.
Now Sushmita has confirmed the new to an Indian daily, she said, "Looks like she (Aishwarya Rai) and I will star together in the film (‘Happy Anniversary’). It’s a matter of time before the film starts rolling. I look forward to it."
The film is being produced by Gaurang Doshi and is a comedy based on marital issues.
Ash is slated to star opposite her real-life husband Abhishek Bachchan and Sush will be in a supporting role. When asked about the film, Ash only had this to offer. “All I can say is that I am looking forward.”
Even we are looking forward to Aishwarya’s comeback. Ash may not have confirmed, but Sushmita’s words seem to be a bit reassuring.
One of the most talked-about cold wars of Bollywood was that of Sushmita and Aishwarya's.
It dates back to 1994, when Sushmita won the Miss India crown beating the strong-favourite Aishwarya and went on to win the Miss Universe title, while Aishwarya, the first runners-up, was adjudged Miss World.
Aishwarya's character starts off as a 21-year old and the story unfolds over the next eight years.
The film will later also see her pregnant with twins. Happy Anniversary deals with marital issues and will be largely shot in South Africa.
