If all goes well, the famed on screen couple – Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will be back to working together after four years.
Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif worked together in films like 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye', 'Singh is Kingg', 'Namastey London', 'De Dana Dan' and 'Welcome', 'Tees Maar Khan' apart from Kaif’s cameo in Akshay’s film 'Blue'.
Except 'Blue' and 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye', most of their film made the right noise and was a hit at the Box Office.
There were also stories floating about the ‘close’ relationship between the two following which the two stopped working together for a while.
Akshay opted for Sonakshi Sinha as his new lucky mascot giving the new girl many opportunities. She even bagged Akshay Kumar and A R Murugadoss’ movie 'Thuppakki' even though Katrina Kaif’s name was on top of the list.
Kaif too has been busy with other commitments to give time to Akshay.
But now, she has made time for him and will be working with him in the Hindi remake of the south super hit 'Ramana' which has been purchased by the producer team of Shabina Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
The team of Shabina and Sanjay had earlier made the hit film 'Rowdy Rathore' with Akshay. The filmmakers are still hunting for a big director to helm their movie.
'Ramana' was also remade in Telugu as 'Tagore' and the Hindi version will go on the floors in the last quarter of 2013.
So the two actors have put the rumours behind them and decided to work together.
We are sure, now that Katrina is in a committed in discreet relationship with Ranbir, she will concentrate only on work.
The 2009 film 'De Dana Dhan' was the last time that Akshay and Katrina worked together and the film gathered a decent opening despite poor reviews.
It can also be recalled that Akshay was very keen on working with Katrina Kaif in an Anees Bazmee film and had asked the 'Welcome' and 'Singh is Kingg' director to get the actress.
