Akshay sets historic 2,000cr Bollywood mark

Forget about the 100-crore club – the latest trending topic to take Twitter by storm and that which has topped worldwide Twitter trends is the #Akshay2000crore tag.

Fans are continuously congratulating and celebrating Akshay Kumar’s well-deserved achievements for Indian cinema. The India grown talent has superseded the monetary successes of many and continues to do so with the success of his new film ‘Special Chabbis’.

To date, the film has already raked in approximately Rs55 crore (Dh38 million) in India alone.

Prior to this, Akshay has had countless Bollywood hits, including Singh is Kinng, Houseful 1 and 2, OMG: Oh My God, Khiladi 786 and Rowdy Rathore and numbers still continue to soar for these internationally accredited films.
