With director/producer Karan Johar things always have to be little different - be it his films or Television chat show.

This young producer is also mastering the art of uniting estranged friends and lovers like Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan-Kareena Kapoor (on-screen of course).

And this time for his chat show, Karan Johar did something he couldn't do for the past three seasons.

Karan Johar and Salman Khan share a joke on the set of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'.

'Koffee With Karan Season 4' will see a barrage of celebrities joining the director for a cup of coffee but the one to premiere this season will be none other than superstar Salman Khan.

The first episode will air on December 1. This will also be the first time that Salman Khan will appear on the show.

Salman took some time out time to wrap up the episode with Karan before leaving for Romania to shoot a song for his next release 'Jai Ho'.

Khan will appear alone in the episode but will be joined briefly by his father Salim Khan for one segment.

Shah Rukh's best friend Karan Johar was photographed during the shooting of the opening episode.

It is worthy to be mentioned that two of the previous three seasons featured Salman's arch rival Shah Rukh in the first episode.

But this time Karan Johar went for Salman.

In fact, Shah Rukh's appearance on 'Koffee With Karan' will be rather belated. To make up for SRK's late entry, his fellow guest on the show may be his 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' heroine Kajol.

Cousins Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor will appear together on the show after Salman.

The new season of Koffee With Karan promises to go "Behind the Scenes. Beneath the Sheets."

The previous editions of the show have featured an all-star guest list including the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukherji, Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan.

The filmmaker's show has previously managed to stir up a hornet's nest quite a few times.

He digs out scandalous details and some unfamiliar avatars of celebrities which is perfect for small screen ratings.

And it was in 'Koffee With Karan' that Shah Rukh – who was then alienated from his closest friends – made a public apology to Salman Khan and Farah Khan.

Will Karan Johar manage to do the same with Salman Khan? Tune in on December 1.
