Shah Rukh Khan finally had a closed-door meeting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after years of acrimony. We are told that the two were discussing the possibilities of doing a film together again after years.
Bhansali and SRK have collaborated on only one film till date – Devdas, during the making of which the two became extremely close as the film was made in trying circumstances after financer-producer Bharat Shah was jailed.
“They were discussing possibilities of a film. Whether it will be the Sahir Ludhianvi biopic or a fresh film is not known,” says a source.
SRK and Priyanka Chopra too have fallen out and it is highly unlikely that SRK will work in the Sahir Ludhianvi biopic. But Bhansali has extended the olive branch which will also mean that if Padmavati is postponed it will not clash with any of SRK’s forthcoming films.
These old friends had had a fall out when SRK’s Om Shanti Om clashed with Bhansali’s Saawariya at the box office.
The word of mouth destroyed Bhansali’s film and he raved and ranted about SRK. The fight escalated last year when SRK’s Dilwale clashed with Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, and this again time the better film won as the Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer got the better of the Rohit Shetty directed venture.
