Bollywood Buzz: 'Ash is not a better actor'

Russell Peters is known for his jokes, one-liners and racial digs during his comedy shows. The Indo-Canadian stand-up comedian was in India recently to promote his film, 'Speedy Singhs'.

But this time it seems Peters has struck the wrong cord. During a promotional event Peters took a dig at Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The actor-comedian said, "She hasn't become a better actor. She is still good looking, isn't that good enough? Good job Abhishek, you finally knocked her up!" as reported by an Indian news channel.

This definitely didn't go down well with the Bollywood fraternity. Fans of Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan are reportedly up in arms against Peters and demanded apology. Peters comment also drew ire from women activists. They find the comment offensive and in bad taste.

Reportedly the stand-up comedian's statements have hugely embarrassed the film's co-producers Ajay Virmani and Akshay Kumar.

Prachi Desai not to act in Jannat 2

Prachi Desai has opted out of Jannat 2. Apparently the actress was not comfortable doing the steamy scenes in the movie.

But that does not upset the makers of the movie at all. Indian media reports claim that Mahesh Bhatt is all set to sign on Bengali bombshell Paoli Dam. It is known that Dam holds no reservations to adapt to the demand of the script.

The makers were not available for any remark but the director, Kunal Deshmukh, confirmed that Prachi Desai has said no to the film.

Going by the filmmakers record Jannat 2 seems to be one super-hot potboiler.

It seems Ahana Deol could not stay away from the family business. Like her father Dharmendra, mother Hema Malini and elder sister Esha Deol, Ahana Deol is all set to make an entry in Bollywood.

According to Mumbai Mirror Ahana found a launch vehicle in Viacom 18's romantic comedy, which will be directed by Shoojit Sircar.

The untitled movie is a romantic comedy on a road trip. The male lead of the film is yet to be finalised.

Now that Ahana is finally making her debut on silver screen we hope her career takes off in flying colours.
