Bollywood star Govinda remarries: The inside scoop

Recently, Govinda remarried.

Well, before you jump the gun, here is the story in detail.

Govinda has often said that the only person he has ever paid complete obeisance to has been his mother Nirmala Devi.

And as per his late mother’s advice  the Entertainer No 1, remarried his wife Sunita 27 years after they got married the first time at the age of 49, as per his mother’s wishes.

Govinda married Sunita in 1987. The ceremony was pretty and short and not many people were around to even witness the wedding then.
Govinda turned 49 in December, 2013. And as per his mother’s wishes, Govinda got married to Sunita in a full-fledged wedding last month in 2014.

 “It is indeed strange that we had a complete marriage ceremony only after 25 years of actually getting married,” says the actor who smiles at the thought of having every ritual from an actual wedding during the remarriage.

However, the remarriage took place in London.

“Everything happened according to mother’s wishes. She wanted us to be away from the place where we belong when the remarriage took place. And she felt that I would retain my youth and my looks at this age too,” smiles the actor.
