Salman Khan turns the eat on for fresh hunky look
Every time Bollywood actor Salman Khan takes off his shirt on-screen; one can almost hear a wave of sigh in the theatres from his ardent fans.
A shirtless Salman with washboard abs would create a frenzy; knowing this he would happily oblige in every alternate screens.
However, of late he has been keeping his body covered. The actor, who turned 47, is evidently worried about his increasing mid-riff.
Although he maintains the bulging biceps and the broad shoulders he concern is the paunch.
Salman has been battling several health-issues and also underwent surgery last year. He has been advised to stay away from heavy exercise regimen and lifting weights.
While talking in a TV show Frankly Speaking Salman said, "There are things that I can't do now, like I cannot bend forward, I cannot do handstand, I can't run fast or push heavy weights. Anything that would rapidly increase my heart rate or blood pressure; those are things I cannot do. My work-outs have become lighter weights, more repetitions and longer time."
The original ‘fitness-freak’ of the industry, who inspired scores of younger actors to focus on gaining a perfectly chiseled body and six abs says he hates working out now.
"It takes a lot of time of my day, tires me and now I hate going to the gym but since I am in the entertainment industry I need to push myself," revealed the actor.
The last time he took his shirt-off was in his latest movie 'Dabangg 2' and he didn't look a pretty sight.
Recently while hosting his TV reality show Bigg Boss, the host jokingly said that he is not fat but the kind of shirt he wears these days makes him look fat. Really now!
Maybe he realised this himself and the beefy actor is now working hard at getting back into his famous shape.
For his spreading mid-riff he now follows a strict diet and has to forgo his favorite biryani. It's difficult to tame a increasing paunch but Salman is doing his best.
It is reported that he has drastically cut down on carbs but drinks plenty of water, protein shakes and has loads of fruits and roots. He has stopped smoking and every time he feels the urge he just fiddles with an unlit one for as long as he can.
Instead of heavy weights he now lifts lighter ones but has increased the sets.
Apparently, the diet is already showing results. It has been 12 weeks since Salman started on this healthier new lifestyle and the actor has been fresher and fitter.
So the female audiences might once again get the chance to feast their eyes on shirt-less Salman Khan.
