Ajay Devgn wanna go à la Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan

Ajay Devgn hasn’t tried to do much of television barring a rare appearance here or there. Ask him will he do what his other big contemporaries like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh or Salman have been doing and he replies with a ‘yes’. “But then it needs to be very extraordinary,” says Bajiram Singham.

Prod him further about what kind of a concept and he says that he is not a writer. “I am not someone who will write the script of what I want to do. But then it depends on how much I like it when I hear the idea,” replies the actor.

Cops normally do not smile a lot and the same is the case with Ajay Devgn. Ask him why and he smiles first before answering. “They are cops and are doing some job. They will smile only when necessary!” says Ajay who also did a guest appearance for the TV show ‘CID’ with other actors who also play cops on the 17-year-old Show. “They are doing a great job for the past so many years. I have been watching the show on and off. I do not get much time to watch TV, but still…,” he trails off.

Meanwhile, the ‘Aata Majhi Satakli’ song by Honey Singh, starring Ajay and Kareena is a rage and Ajay is pretty happy. “The song has come out very well. I personally love the song. I want more people to see the film for whatever reasons they have.”

Ajay, meantime, is also seen promoting his films aggressively these days.

“It is not actually important, it has become more of a helplessness that I find myself in. Earlier there were far fewer newspapers and TV channels and now there seems to be a plethora of them. I have to keep on promoting and it does not seem to end,” sighs Ajay.

Now we know why he forgot to smile!
