Co-star Sheezan arrested in Tunisha Sharma's death case

'Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul' actor Sheezan Khan has been arrested in the suicide case of Tunisha Sharma by Waliv police.

Rising TV actor Sheezan has been arrested after Tunisha's mother filed a complaint and claimed that they both were in a relationship and she took this extreme step because of him. A Mumbai court has sent him to police custody for four days.

Tunisha Sharma's mysterious death is raising many doubts and there was also a speculation that the actress was pregnant. However, the post-mortem reports have made it clear that she was not pregnant and died because of suffocation after hanging.

The actress reportedly committed suicide on Saturday (Dec.24 )on the set of the show in Vasai in Maharashtra's Palghar district.

Sheezan was arrested after a case of abetment to suicide was registered against him, police said on Sunday. He was this afternoon sent to four-day police custody by Vasai court.

As per the media reports, Tunisha's mother had filed a complaint against Sheezan, who is said to have been in a relationship with her and they had broken up 15 days ago.

She has told the police that Tunisha was under stress because of him and that might be the reason she has taken such an extreme step. Tunisha was just 20-year-old.

Although it is claimed that she died by suicide, an investigation is going on to find the real cause of her death.

According to media reports, the two had broken up 15 days ago and then Tunisha went into a depression and was highly disturbed. On Dec.24, she was found hanging on the sets of the TV show and it was believed that she had committed suicide.

It is said that she had wanted to get married to Sheezan and he refused, which led to their breakup.

Sheezan started his acting career, in 2013 with the historical drama "Jodha Akbar" starring Hrithik Roshan. Later, he acted in TV shows such as "Silsila Pyaar Ka," "Prithvi Vallabh", and "Ek Tha Raavan".

He is now playing the role of Alibaba in "Alibaba- Dastaan-e-Kabul." Tunisha was his co-star and female lead of the show.

After bagging the role, Sheezan had told IANS: "I remember, in the initial days, I myself approached the casting director asking if there were relevant opportunities for me. The minute he mentioned Alibaba, I felt a connection to it and I knew I would bag his role."

He added: "It was like a strange belief, like I was destined to be Alibaba." Little did he know then that the role would land him in a mess that could consume his career.

Her mortal remains were taken for post-mortem at JJ hospital in Mumbai and as per the reports Tunisha's death was by suffocation. No injury marks were found on her body.

As per the media reports, her mortal remains are likely to be cremated on Dec.26.

Tunisha started her career with 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra — Maharana Pratap' and later featured in shows like 'Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat', 'Gabbar Poonchwala', 'Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh', 'Internet Wala Love', and 'Ishq Subhan Allah', among others.

She has also been a part of films like 'Fitoor', 'Baar Baar Dekho', 'Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh', and 'Dabangg 3'.The actress was also part of several music videos like 'Pyaar ho Jaayega', 'Nainon Ka Ye Rona', 'Tu Baithe Mere Samne', and many more.
