La Liga babies: Sara Carbonero, Real's Casillas baby boy vs Messi's Thiago

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has become a father after journalist Sara Carbonero gave birth to a baby boy.

The football club announced on its website that the couple has named their son Martin Casillas Carbonero.

Casillas famously kissed Carbonero during a TV interview after helping Spain win the 2010 World Cup.

After a clutch of arch rivals Barcelona boasted some of their top stars becoming dads recently, Casillas’s son can now really start a La Liga competition for the Next Gen.

Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique and pop singer Shakira have their boy Milan and Lionel Messi.

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta, is the father of a baby girl not older than 3.

So, next gen La Liga it is, then.
