A Mumbai tabloid reported that it will be Ranveer Singh who will be the replacement for Hrithik Roshan in the film after Hrithik pulled out of the film.
“Karan Malhotra and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post-‘Shuddhi’. For now, I cannot allow a vision like ‘Shuddhi’ to stagnate any further.
“I had the finest experience as an actor working with Karan Malhotra in ‘Agneepath’ and I'm sure that my dear Karans, Karan Johar and Karan Malhotra, are going to go beyond with this one.
“Shuddhi remains a part of me in spirit and I am sure it will be a landmark film in our cinema. I wish them all the best,” read Hrithik’s statement.
“We don’t know what is happening about that film,” says Kareena.
“I haven’t met Karan lately and I don’t think we have Hrithik’s dates for the film. And finally it depends on my mood when we get that film,” rued the actress a few days before Hrithik’s statement.
We got to know that Ranveer’s name was also considered after the actor met Karan on a reality show.
Ranbir Kapoor also visited Karan’s place recently for a party and we are told that he was also being considered for the role despite a hectic schedule.
And now comes the news that Shah Rukh Khan who possibly has a most packed calendar of the lot is now a choice after the casting has been done.
With Deepika Padukone’s name being tossed up as the heroine, SRK who has to shoot for Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’, Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Fan’, Farhan Akhtar and Rahul Dholakia’s ‘Raees’, Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Allwyn Kalicharan’ and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Punjab Express’, may make a comeback to the Karan Johar camp.
We are confused by so many names. And we know that Karan Johar will also have a tough time making a choice.
