Priyanka Chopra has acquired her first big beauty when she got a pretty expensive yet sleek looking machine in the form of her Rolls Royce recently. And then she did choose a good enough occasion as well - like an award ceremony to flaunt it - when she reached the venue in her chauffer driven automobile.
Interestingly rather than drive the vehicle herself, she preferred to be piloted. “I don’t like driving, I prefer to be driven,” pat comes the reply from the actress.
The Rolls Royce that Priyanka has is priced at over Rs 3 crore and the actress who already owns a Porsche Cayenne, a Mercedes Benz E Class and a BMW 7 series has customized the vehicle more to her needs with very good leg space and a fantastic state of the art music system too.
“It’s an extended Rolls Royce. I have very long legs and I tend to sleep off in the car, more often than not and the car suits me and I fit the car well too,” smiles the actress who has laughed to the bank by virtue of signing some big films with big moolah.
Add to the fact that she was given the award of an international icon at the award ceremony that she went to, draped in a silver pink saree more like the desi girl.
“I don’t think that I have become an international icon. This is my first year as I have my album and that’s the only international work I have done and there is a long journey yet to come,” she says a tad too modestly saying that she has just embarked on the journey.
Interestingly last year she has gifted herself an expensive present like the RR, she has a huge failure at the Indian box office in the form of Zanjeer, barring her role in the box office juggernaut Krrish 3 and her special song and dance thingamajig in Goliyon Ki Raasleela - Ram Leela!
And now it seems that only Gunday can salvage some pride at the desi box office for the international icon whose trailer launch was done at the Dubai International Film Festival.
“Dubai has been lucky for me. Whenever my films have been released in Dubai, they have done well,” says the actress who prefers to only let her work in films do the talking.
“I have been asked about joining politics, but then I will prefer to remain apolitical as I have always been. I do not know what the future has in store for me and I do not know what will happen, but I have always preferred to be diplomatic as ever,” she says.
We do hope that Priyanka is able to drive home a few more points about her abilities when the film releases and does well.
